Spinal Immobilization Board

This product was designed to help simplify the process of placing an injured person on a spine board. The strap insertion areas are clearly marked for ease of use, a series of grab holes line each side where paramedics can comfortably position their hands, and the materials used to construct the board ensure durability. The board’s overall appearance aims to facilitate a sense of calm during tense circumstances.

This is project included researching current products as well as interviewing medical personnel to learn more about how spine boards are used.

The edges are curved so when the patient is on their side, paramedics can tilt the board up to position the patient as quickly as possible.
